CEO Daddy, Let's Get Mommy

The one who killed me is...

Ch-339

The operating team was also stunned. They felt they needed to interfere, so they said in the mic. "Little Sir, even though you got the key you can't leave without killing the ghost," they said.

"Mic Uncle, why are you being stupid? I am following the rules. You said we can leave the house once we get the key. And you also mentioned that… the ghosts would die if any are left. Don't let a kid remind you of your own rules," Reggie said as if he was talking to someone so inferior.

Why in the hell the kid was so smart!?

The operating team couldn't help but feel sad.

They gave up and announced that they won.

The king of ghosts: "..."

"Am I a joke to you?" he couldn't help but cry at his defeat against Reggie. He realized his skills turned old and time to retire.

Reggie and his family left the amusement park, leaving the operating team speechless and stumped. They kept the board closed for the haunted house. They felt that they really needed to change the theme and make it scarier, if not the visitors would be bored.

The moment they came out. Reggie sighed noisily. "Sigh… so boring," he commented.

"Dad… I need ice cream," Reggie said. If it was someone else they would not even care about eating, feeling creepy with all the blood.

Reggie didn't notice how uncomfortable Esther felt. But she just held it on with all her might.

Esther gradually turned better with all the diversions. When they were done playing it's already evening.

"Let's have dinner before going home," Esther said. The family of three had their dinner before going home.

Cyrus uploaded a picture they took from morning in his social media gaining the attention of Netizens. But he just ignored them. He wasn't a movie star to care about their opinions.

The waiter brought the dishes right after he put his phone down on the table. They ate the food and paid the bill before they left.

Reggie slept all the way on his journey home. In the end, despite being two hundred years old, he was still a child. Esther smiled as she looked at Reggie's sleeping posture. Caressing his hair, she put his head in her lap. Suddenly she felt peace. The morning disturbance in her heart vanished all of a sudden. Bending down she gave a kiss on Reggie's forehead.

Cyrus parked the car and opened the door for Esther. He saw Reggie was sleeping in Esther's lap. Picking him up from his seat, he gently carried him in his arms. He went directly to his room and laid him on his bed.

Esther went into the bathroom and brought a tub full of water with a cloth. Removing his clothes, she wiped his body. After wiping his body she went to put the tub in the bathroom. By the time she returned Cyrus was already dressing him in his night clothes. This was her first time, seeing him being gentle with Reggie. Taking her phone she captured a photo of the lovely.

Walking towards him, she said "Done?"

"Yeah," he said as he tucked the little man in his bed.

They both walked out together. Esther took a bath first while Cyrus went to take a call. By the time he returned to their bedroom, Esther was doing her skin care. With a smile, he went to take a bath. He returned only to see the sleepy figure of Esther on the bed. Turning off the lights he joined her in the bed.

Meanwhile…

Esther saw a woman being caged in iron bars. She saw a man in black cloak doing some black magic. Esther could see the woman break free from the cage. She noticed that the woman wanted to shout and cry but she couldn't. It's not that her hands and legs were tied but her tongue. It was cut. Esther can say that the woman in the cage wasn't some prisoner but herself. Her last moments in her previous life.

There were disgusting worms crawling around her. She tried to escape them but could't. A beetle climbed up her body and took a sip of her blood. All of a sudden, the black beetle changed it's color into black and red. And it went towards the man in the black cloak and stood in front of him.

The man in the black laughed creepily at the sight of the black and red beetle. He chanted something. Suddenly… black lights swirled around it. The black lights disappeared after a minute.

Esther knew this was not the end. She waited to see what exactly he was going to do.

The black beetle's leg became as big as a six feet man height. Not only that, the remaining five legs of it became as big as a big man. It's body bulged as big as a parachute. All of a sudden the beetle turned into a beast.

She could hear the maniacal laughter from the man in black cloak.

Raudra Muki wanted to gulp her saliva but she knew she couldn't gulp as the blood gushing out of tongue didn't stop still. If she gulped her blood, her vessels would be filled with blood and she would die. Even if she doesn't gulp, she would die from excessive blood loss. Despite the painful death she chose the long way, she wanted to see how bad he would get just for his greedy motives. Esther saw the struggle of Raudra Muki as she stood at the side of the cage.

"Raudra Muki! Did you see this!?" He said.

Ignoring the bugs around her she crawled towards the bars of her cage. Suddenly, she saw the man turning around. His arms were inked with different spells, which were peeking through the cuts of his cloaks. His chest is wide open to a person, making them take a look at the tattoo of the soul eater which was inked on his chest. She moved his gaze from his chest to his throat. The tattoo continued it's way to his neck. She felt disgusted but said nothing. Her eyes moved to his face… his face… Why was it so familiar?

When her eyes fell on his face, her eyes widened in shock. She looked at the person in the cage who was looking at her with a sad gaze.

[We both fell for the same demon twice. But you got out of hell. While I crawled back after getting out of the hell. Beware.] Esther heard her saying to her in her mind. She saw the man walking towards Raudra Muki in the cage.

[Find the other three. Don't wait for the wheels of fate to show you souls. Run against time and fate. Fight the demons around you and your people. Remember… trust no one. Trust your intuition. BE A QUEEN!] she heard. Esther wanted to ask something but she couldn't. All the places she stood suddenly started changing. It turned into dust before pulling her into a black space.

[When time permits… You can ask me questions not now.] she heard her voice again. But before she could open her mouth, the setting disappeared and she was back to her world.

Esther sat up straight, waking up from her horrible dream. She saw Cyrus woke up already and looked at her with concern in her eyes.

"What happened?" he asked.

"Bad dream?" he continued.

"I will get water for you," he said as he got up from his place. The bed rose higher showing her, he really got up to get her some water. Even though she woke up from the bed, she couldn't still digest the things she saw. She realized the things that flashed in her mind during the haunted house trip were the same things she saw in her dream.

She could still feel a chill running down her spine when she remembered the face of that person in the black cloak. Was it fate all along that played with her?

What does she mean by crawling back into hell? Does it mean he will come back into her life? What does she need to beware?

Trust no one? Does it mean she shouldn't trust Cyrus too?

Esther couldn't help but feel confused. At the same time, Cyrus came with a glass of water and handed it to her.

Esther drank the water in big mouthfuls. Until she got the water, she didn't realize that… her throat dried. Handing the glass to Cyrus, she hugged her knees, feeling scared.

"Tell me what happened?" he asked, cupping her face in his palms. He pulled her into his arms making her sit in his lap. Cupping her face, he looked into her eyes. He can see fear in her eyes.

"What happened?" he asked.

Suddenly, Esther clutched his shirt tightly and hugged him. "I saw him," she said.

"Who?" he asked. He could guess what she was talking about but he needs to know what exactly is happening.

"It's him. The one who killed me is none other than…

…Arthur Garcia," she enunciated every word to him.
