CEO Daddy, Let's Get Mommy

Giving Responsibilities to Charles Windsors

Ch-182

Esther shook her head at the glimpse of her nightmare. She wished it was a nightmare but she knew better than anyone. It's a memory! The memory cannot be erased in her lifetimes. Her eyes darkened at the memory of her dream. She would let that man pay for the things they did.

She sat up straight rubbing her aching temples. Esther poured a glass of water from the jug. She gulped the whole glass of water in a single sip. "My Queen, You are up. I will heat the food," Charles Windsors said.

"Stop," she said in her usual bone-chilling and sleepy voice.

"My Queen, What can I do for you?" he asked sweetly.

"Who are you?" she asked as she crossed her leg while leaning on the backrest of the couch as she pinched the space between her brows not knowing how to ease her headache.

"My Queen… What do you mean?" he stuttered.

"I am the one who asks the questions, not you," she said.

"Just answer my question," she added in her same chilly voice.

"Known Charles Windsors Benjamin, The Old King of Benjamin family on the earth. While the highest noble after the King," he replied.

"Don't tell me that your brain turns rusty with your age. I asked who are you to me," she said, rubbing her aching temples.

"Grandfather on the earth. Uncle or dad in our realm," he replied.

"Really?" she said.

"Yes, My Queen," he replied as he scratched his head.

"Then do your work," she replied.

"My Queen, Please enlighten me," he said.

"A servant should do his work. You are not my servant but an elder. Only I can order you around, Not others. If you are not clear about this still. Go to the ancestral house and rewrite the rules of masters and servants fifty times and come back," she said coldly as she pointed out the facts.

"Get Michelle to heat them. I have something to talk about with you," she added.

"As you say, My Queen," he bowed and left to get Michelle to do his work.

He returned with great anticipation to get into her good side.

"My Queen…" he called out. Esther felt like smashing his head with a hammer at that particular second. She felt he would stop calling her that but he was getting used to that as times passed.

"First, remember one thing, don't call me My Queen or something with high titles. Esther would do. In my past life, everyone called me General and Your Highness. Now before returning there can you give me a chance to live as your grandfather, Grandpa?" she pleaded. Even though her face had an annoyed expression, her eyes were fiery red, he knew that was a sincere request from her. He felt bad when he remembered the life of the palace. Indeed, maybe this is her chance to live the life of a common girl. He sighed and nodded.

"I will, My Queen," he said.

"Huh?" she made a disgruntled sound warning him to change the way of addressing her.

"I Will, Esther," he responded.

"Don't act civilly. Behave the same way as before," she said and he nodded.

"I need some trusted employees for my office to find them. But it doesn't mean you have to send the employees of the Benjamin empire," she said.

"Will be done in three days," he replied.

"I stripped Nicholas from his position. I think you can guess the reason, right?" She said,

"I know," he replied seriously.

"So… I need a person who could fill his spot. He must be as good as him and should handle them well. An experienced person would do. This is important to me. So, Grandpa… You hire the person for this position," she said.

"Ok, Dear. And?" he asked excitedly as he took down her requests.

[Aww… Future Queen trusts me a lot. Brother… You are out of the race. She is not your daughter but my Grand-daughter. Hehehe…] he thought with a smug smile. Centuries ago, his brother used to show off saying he has a great daughter while his sons were a useless bunch of drunkards. Now, it's his time to show off. If he gains Esther's trust then he would be favored more than her father in the future. So that he could show off.

"Grandpa, I need to find a collaborator, who could provide me with raw materials for ornaments. I planned to collaborate with Vritra groups but decided against it. Benjamin's aren't involved in it. Then who would do it better?" she asked.

"Brunette family, They are the servants of Vyaghranakha," he replied.

"Done. I will contact them," she replied.

"I will pass a word from my side too," he replied.

"I need to find a textile factory for duplicating my designs before release and provide them to me," she said.

"Hmm… Why not collaborate with Benjamin groups? We could do better," he said.

"I am thinking about that but I have a condition for it," she said.

"What is it?" he asked.

"You shouldn't give me any special privileges. Just like other people, I am also one," she said.

"Okay," he replied.

"Let brother resume his work in the company. He shall deal with the project for my company," she said.

"Okay…" she replied.

"That was all I needed," she replied.

"Hmm.. Grandpa… I think you know about the brother, right?" she asked.

"Hmm?" he acted dumb.

"Don't act dumb," she said as she glared at him.

"Even in this life, your sharpness, aloofness, and your scary attitude didn't change," he said with a laugh.

"I know. And you are still sly," she jabbed.

"I am an innocent one," he replied as he raised his hands in the air.

"Then what Am I? Big Bad Wolf?" she humored.

At that time, a knock could be heard on the door.

"Come in," she answered.

"President, Food," Michelle said.

"Hmm.. Sit and join us," she said.

The three of them had their lunch together in between laughs and smiles. Even though Esther barely smiled, she was relaxed.
