"You both know each other before?" Esther asked with a shock.

"If not for her, I wouldn't have suffered in the hands of Arthur?!" Nicholas complained.

"What happened?" Esther asked.

"I did nothing. I worked in Garcia's secretarial department for the past three years just to see his affections for you. But every day my hate for him increased. And wherever he goes he is taken by Arthus. The company knows the friendship tale of this guy and Arthur. So… being his friend, I just let him know a few consequences of messing with me," Michelle said half handedly.

"You call them few!? FEW!? He….! Princess, you have to get me justice. This woman always pointed out my intentions and thoughts to Arthur and made me get punished. There was a time where I didn't receive my salary for two months. Thank god! I have a house and savings. If not for them, I would have been starved to death. This woman is really evil!" Nicholas complained by raising his voice.

"Tsk. Pathetic!" Reggie said as he entered the room while he directed those words to Nicholas as he snorted at him.

Nicholas felt he was even ridiculed by a kid because of Michelle. He lost his face. No wonder… his eyelids keep twitching.

"Mom, Since Garcia's existence is longer there. It means Aunty has no job. Why not keep her with you. Unlike this pathetic uncle, Aunty looks reliable," Reggie said as he suggested the best thing. When Reggie heard Michelle's words, he felt happy for his mom. This guy who was with Arthur shouldn't be beside Esther.

"Princess, are you taking her as the new secretary?" Nicholas asked gulping his own saliva while staring at Esther with a gaze that said please-say-no!

Esther thought for a while and said, "If she likes, she can. I lack a secretary. IF my friend is my secretary then I would be happy," Esther said.

"Will you agree, Girlfriend?" Esther asked Michelle.

"Hain! When did I refuse your offer," Michelle said with a smile on her face.

"Nicholas, print a contract for her and train her how to be my secretary. Okay?" Esther said.

Nicholas felt like a stone was thrown on his head. This is nothing but….. DEATH sentence.

"Princess, You need to think twice about it!" Nicholas begged. Nicholas felt like the world was being unfair to him. This devil, he got out from her clutches five months ago, now again he can't enter her bone. He went to the corner and cried a river of tears in his mind.

Sobs….

This world was cruel.

He was the most innocent person in this world.

How could he treat him like this? How could it!? HOW COULD IT!?

"Why not give my place to you?" Esther said mockingly as she glared at that guy. Damn!?! He angered her!

"I will do it right now, Princess," Nicholas said.

"That's how it should be!" Esther said.

Nicholas felt like half of the energy from his body left. And the coming days were his demise. He only prayed to God asking him to give an easy life.

"Girlfriend, I will tell you everything on the weekend. It's a long story. That day, we will even have a date," Esther said with a wink.

"Hm… By the way, when will you join?" Esther asked again.

"I need to get prepared. I will be coming after two days," Michelle said.

"Your wish!" Esther said.

"I will get going then. Work hard to support me as you promised back then!" Michelle said.

"Sure, Why not?" Esther replied playfully.

They both laughed at the same time. Michelle left after grabbing her chocolate milk tea. Esther smiled at her obsession over that milk tea. She didn't think Michelle would get back to her in such a short time. Even though it's a good thing. She smiled and thought of their friendship when they both acted like sisters. Wait! She could design some clothes and jewelry with a sister's theme. With that motivation, she started sketching again. It's already six, She finished three sets of designs for sisters' clothing. And a set of jewelry designs.

She turned her head and saw Reggie was fast asleep on the couch. Damn! What kind of mother was she? She didn't care about her son while working and on top of that, he was sick. She carried him in her arms as she made her way out.

"Nicholas, Drop me in my home," She ordered when she passed by Nicholas's cabin. Nicholas nodded his head and followed her. She hugged Reggie in her arms. She let his head lean on her chest as he slept. Reggie who was sleeping felt the sense of familiarity and comfort he snuggled close to her as he tightened his grip on her. Esther smiled as she ran her fingers in his silky smooth hair.

Esther and Reggie reached the home.

"Nicholas, in this rush hour you can't go back like this. Take this car back and tomorrow I won't be coming. So directly park it in the company. Also… inform CEO Vritra that his son fell asleep. So, he will be staying with me here tonight." Esther said and left without waiting for Nicholas's answer.

[Ayya… Sister-in-law, You are entering the devil's den willingly. I can only pray for your safety.] Nicholas thought in his brain.

He took his phone and dialed his brother's number.

"What?" an irritating voice can be heard.

"Brother, Sister-in-law asked me to convey something to you. Do you need to be that cold?" Nicholas whined.

"Why are you whining like a wronged mistress? Hmm? If you don't tell me the reason, I will cut your monthly allowance!" Cyrus threatened. Even though it's an old threat it still works miraculously.

"She said Reggie will stay with her tonight. He slept in her office. So, she doesn't want to disturb me. Sister-in-law brought Reggie to Benjamin's house." Nicholas ranted all.

"How did she get home?" Cyrus asked.

"I dropped her. You know… Taking pity on me she asked me to drive the car home safely. She is so awesome, kind, and beautiful. Unlike certain people! Hmph!" Nicholas said.

"I see," Cyrus responded with a smug smile.

"What 'I see'? You wha….."

*beep* *beep* *beep* *beep*

Nicholas heard the busy tone from the other side. He wanted to complain something more but this man hung up.
