Elaeocarpus ganitrus

Ch-81

Shakti woke up early and freshened up. She wore a royal blue silk saree which was designed with five-petal flowers with golden threads. And it has a five-inch border with a peacock design. Shakti wore a blouse that covered her breasts. She took her nine and a half yards (8.6 meters) saree. She tied the knot at the center front of her waist below her belly button while leaving two meters on the left side and she left the remaining on the right side as her six-inch of skin between her chest and the waist was exposed. Shakti started working out on wearing her saree. First, she worked with her left leg by bringing the saree from the front by bringing it under her leg from the front to back. After that, she made beautiful pleats on the vertical side of the saree. After making the pleats, she tucked those pleats in the middle of her back showing the beautiful border which was designed with the peacock. After that she worked on her right leg, she draped the saree on her right leg while bringing it under her leg from front to back. She used half a meter of saree to make another set of nice pleats horizontally and tucked them under at the back of the center. She made sure that her right leg pleats didn't overlap the left leg pleats. She adjusted them in a way that the right leg pleats were tucked under her left leg pleats. Because the right pleats don't have the border while the left leg pleats have. She secured those pleats with a pin tightly. While she used the remaining saree to make her frail to cover the exposed skin and the blouse on her front body. She made even pleats for her pallu (frail) and rested it on her left shoulder. To avoid it from sliding down, she used a pin to fix them in that position. After that, Shakti adjusted the borders and the evenness of her pleats.

She groaned at the process of wearing this saree. But she felt that her beauty was enhanced because of this saree. After she was done draping the saree. She sat on the chair in front of her big full-length saree. Shakti tied her long hair into a low bun. After that, she took out her hair bun accessories. Nothing felt good for hair but one thing caught her. That was, it's a hair accessory that was made with multiple chains inserted with pearls in the shape of a three-petaled flower in between the chains. All those multiple chains were connected to a hook on both sides. Shakti wore her hair accessory. After that, She took out her ornaments and opened them one by one. She found nothing impressive, so she closed all the cupboards. She searched at least thirty to forty jewelry things but nothing felt suitable for her saree today. But an idea stuck in her mind. Instead of wearing the sets that were specified for her saree, she decided to make a set for her today's saree. She took a neck chain made of gold and diamonds and wore it. After that, she took a necklace and decorated it around her slender neck. And again she took a big chain which reached down her breasts which was made of pearls. After that, she took her gold waist belt, which was made of gold with two centimeters in height. It has gold chains attached to it for every half centimeter at the lower side of it hanging down freely. The belt was designed with pearls and gemstones in the form of a five-petaled lotus. After she was done putting on her waist belt, she wore bangles. Six bangles on each of her hands.

The waist belt was not only used as an ornament it is also used to secure the saree drape for women. Men also wear this thing to support their traditional dhoti style draping but they wear a black sacred thread. It is not a sacred thing, it is just a black thread. It uses to support their dhoti. It is not only used for securing the drape but for other reasons. It helps in the digestion of food and lets us know if gained weight or not, also improves spinal health by giving support to the lumbar health. It also helps in improving fertility. Because men who follow Dravidian culture will wear this Molathradu(sacred black thread) all the time from the time they were born till they were dead. If there was no Molathradu it only means his wife was dead. Because they remove it since they have no wife, then he would be not experiencing any form of making sex. As Dravidians follow the rule called One wife in One life!

After securing the waist belt, Shakti wore her big pearl jumki's ( earrings in the shape of a bell) as small pea-sized pearls were hanging to those jumkis. Those jumki's have hair chains that connected from her ear to her hair. After that, she wore anklet chains that produce the sound 'gal gul gul' whenever she took a step. After that, she has Arvanki's (armlets) on her hands. When she was done, she drew a vermilion in the shape of the moon on her forehead in between her brows. When she was done, she looked at herself for a second in the mirror. When she was satisfied with her look she left the room. Normally, the things done by herself now were done by the servants. But Shakti didn't like having so many servants around her, so she does everything by herself. Normally everyone wears a veil behind their heads in Dravidian culture but Shakti doesn't she felt that it was itchy and uncomfortable. So, she never wore them. She applied eyeliner to highlight her eyes but not the makeup. She doesn't use makeup.

"I am a warrior, not a vase. Eyes, they tell you what you are!" she says when someone asks her to use makeup.

Shakti took a hand knife and tucked it on the right of her waist and covered it with her pallu and she took her sword. Shakti took a seed and put it in a gold box before she made her way to the temple.

Meanwhile...…

Bhairava went back to his room with the help of Vikrama and Narendra. They both called the servants and helped him get cleaned up. As Shakti said they fed him the medicine every three hours. In the box, she gave ten pills to help him heal. They fed him the medicine for three hours.

Bhairava, when he took the first pill, he felt the pain in his internal organs lessened. For the past three days, he was fighting continuously with no break along with little with no enough time for him to heal. But now when he took the medicines he felt his internal organs were healing on their own. He felt lighter and better.

He took five pills from evening to morning and he was healed magically. He knew these pills were not something easy to find. Bhairava even though he knew he cannot win but he didn't regret it. But the thing that saddened him was his woman and child. But he understood no one can be brought back to life but he held on to his stupid delusion! He was such a fool. But he trusted his sister because she doesn't say words randomly.

With his complicated thoughts, he went to sleep. After another two hours, he was woken up by his two big bunny brothers. He freshened up and made his way to the temple.

___________

Hilltop Basilisk clan temple….

All the elders and Bhairava were already waiting for Shakti.

"Gurujana, Bratah, Shubhodayam (Elders, Brother, Goodmorning)" Shakti greeted.

"Shubodayam, shakti (Goodmorning, shakti)" Elders greeted.

"Suprabhatham, Sodari (Goodmorning, Sodari)" Bhairava greeted.

"Gurujana, Bratah, I would like to take you somewhere. Please follow me," Shakti said.

"Sure," everyone said at once and followed her. They went back to the temple. That place was not something that everyone could enter. Only the king and queen can enter for every two hundred years on the specific solar eclipse.

The elders felt when they were invited here. Only three of them entered here in their lives.

"Gurvuvarya!" Shakti called out.

A man wearing a saffron dhoti while tying a bun on his head with his unkempt hair. He wore chains and necklaces made of rudrakshas ( seed of the Elaeocarpus ganitrus tree). His hands were filled with bracelets made of rudrakshas. His waist belt, anklet chains, bracelets, and everything were made of rudrakshas. The man was meditating as he descended from the air with his closed eyes. Divine light was emitting from his body as he descended. His unkempt hair, dirty body, and unshaved beard didn't make them feel repulsed. Instead, it made them feel more respectable.

The Clan Guru stopped in front of them still in his meditating pose as he hanged in the mid-air.

"Subhodayam! Kula Guru!" Everyone said at once.

"Follow me," he said as he descended and got on to his feet.

They bowed their heads to him and followed him.
